Paws in the Park Doggie Dash
 Bring your 4 legged friend for the 1st Annual Doggie Dash. All 4 legged participants will receive a goodie bag full of tail shaking treats and a participation ribbon. All 2 legged participants will receive a doggie dash t-shirt.
Date: Sat, Oct 2
Location: Ridge Ferry Park (Shoals)
Cost: $15 Early Registration; $18 Race Day Registration
Register by Sep 20 for guaranteed t-shirt.
Dogs will be split up in weight divisions:
<25 Pounds Race @ 8:30am
25 – 50 Pounds Race @ 9:00am
50 – 75 Pounds Race @ 9:30am
75 Pounds < Race @ 10:00am

Willard Nixon Sports Hall of Fame Golf Tournament
Details about the Willard Nixon Sports Hall of Fame Golf Tournament are announced after the Hall of Fame. The tournament is typically held the 2nd week of June. The 4 Man Scramble Entry fee covers green fees, cart fees, range balls, lunch and beverages for a team of four. The tournament has been held for the last two years at Barnsley Gardens. Barbeque Competition & Festival

Everyone is welcome to the Annual Roman Roast on the River Barbeque Competition and Festival. The barbeque competition is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society and offers competitions in both professional and back yard categories. Enjoy tasty BBQ, family fun and the arts & crafts along the banks of the Oostanaula River at Ridge Ferry Park in Rome, Georgia.
