Based on the successful cartoon from the 80s, this action adventure pits the Autobots against the evil Decepticons. When the two intergalactic races wage war, they choose Earth as their battleground. A show is on the way as the machines change shape between cars, trucks, planes and other technological creations.

Pets and coolers are not allowed at the outdoor movie events.

Art Exhibit - Lee Field, October

Lee Field art

An exhibit of the art by Lee Field who paints in a realistic and reflective style. A life long resident of Rome and Floyd County, Lee graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts and has been painting most of his life. He has exhibited at the Library, Rockmart Art Center and the Harris Art Center in Calhoun.

Relay for Life
Relay for Life

The Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority is proud to partner with American Cancer Society to fight back against cancer. The community will come together on Friday, April 18 at Ridge Ferry Park to celebrate cancer survivors and remember those lost to cancer. The fun filled event will raise money and awareness to help eliminate cancer.

When: 2009 Relay for Life, will be held May 15 and 16.

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for the free live music and fireworks show.

Pets are not allowed.Campaign and political materials may not be distributed at this event.  Trails will be closed from Burrell Creek to Ridge Ferry Stage on Friday, July 4 for fireworks display set-up.  Access Ridge Ferry Park from Farmer’s Market and Shoals parking lots.
