Backyard BBQ Bash

This Spring, Ridge Ferry Park plays host to the Backyard BBQ Bash. Come out for a must see event featuring barbecue sampling, people's choice voting, arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, car show and more. 

Parking for the even
t is five dollars per car and card only. 

Sampling bracelets for the barbecue are five dollars and limited to one per person.

Gates open at 10 a.m. Sampling begins when at 11 a.m. and lasts until 2:30 p.m., or when sampling bracelets or bbq is almost gone. To ensure you get to taste some great bbq, make sure you arrive by 10 a.m. to buy your bracelet and taste some meat before it's all gone. 


Be sure to check out our arts and crafts vendors along with food trucks that are scheduled to set up with a variety of items and goodies. You never know what you might find. 

BBQ Cook Off:
Registration for the cook off is open now.
Cost: $50
Must provide own meat. 
Entry includes four event t-shirts, four team member wrist bands, one sample bracelet and one 20'x20' cook site. 
Registration ends Wednesday, April 17.
*Please note: Teams registering after Wednesday, April 17, may not be guaranteed event t-shirts.*

Contest Winners:
Judges’ Choice:
First place winners for both pork and chicken: $300 
Second place winners for both pork and chicken: $200
Third place winners for both pork and chicken: $100.

Overall Winner: Total points combined in both pork and chicken categories *Must compete in People's Choice to be considered for Overall Winner.
First Place: $500
Second Place: $250
Third Place $100 

Please note that all prize money is calculated on number of teams participating and could change depending on number of teams.

People’s Choice:
First, second and third places for People's Choice Voting in pork will receive trophies and recognition.

Car Show
When: Saturday, April 27

All proceeds from the car show will benefit Floyd County Sheriff's Office Sheriff's Santa Program. For more information on registering in the car show, contact Tammy Bryant at BryantT@floydcountyga.org.

Vendor Info:
Artists and crafters are invited to set up for this year's Backyard BBQ Bash. Vendors have three site sizes to choose from.
12'x12' - $50
20'x20' - $75
30'x30' - $100

Food/Beverage Vendors - $100
Set up for vendors is Friday, April 26. There is no Saturday set up for large items such as tables, tents and chairs.
